This is getting absurd!!

Just when I thought Terri Schiavo would be leaving this world soon...in peace...here go her parents trying to intervene again. If all these people protesting outside hospice really believe in God, don't you think they would want her to be with Him? I heard Mrs. Schindler ask Michael Schivo to let her have her child since he has his...this statement shows me how controlling she is. In eating disorders there is such a thing as too much control on part of parents, and the eating disorder itself is one way the for the child to take back some of the control on their own. This case shows me the Schindlers are still trying to control her right up to her dying moment!
Let Terri go now! Let her pass in peace, PLEASE!!

My 84 year old mother decided she wanted to die on her own terms rather than be kept alive and even had her signature on a legal paper from the lawyer stating such. She was staving herself and didn't want to be in the nursing home...but do you think they respected her wishes? Hell no!! One day she was going downhill fast, turning blue and they sent her to the hospital to be revived and stabalized...even the EMT who was with her and listened to her screams as she was revived, stated he didn't feel this was right. She lived another month but I think it was a month she hated. Someone mentioned a feeding tube and we said no. She didn't want to converse with us anymore and was fed up with the whole situation. I remember a conversation with one of the nursing home staff who thought it was not right for her to stop wanting to live and mentioned that she didn't allow HER mother to make that decision and, religion was brought into it. After trying to tell my sister and me that we didn't have the right to let her die, we explained in no uncertain terms that we were respecting her right to die the way she preferred...it was not our place to intervene. So, I guess I am on Terri's side in this fight. Besides, too many days have gone by now without feeding tube to interrupt her dying process...just let her go in peace, finally!
