About Me

Progressive Democrat who is pissed at her own party for not listening to the people and for appeasing the other criminal party. Never thought I would be afraid and sad over what is happening to my country. I am venting on this blog and my photography blog allows me to create something nice for others to view and hopefully, appreciate.

When John McCain accepted the Republican nomination for President of the US, it was both a momentous and awkward moment. He truly was the only candidate that would give the Republicans a chance to hold on to the White House. By virtually any historical standard in this country, the Republican nominee shouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell. So why are the polls as tight as they seem to be?
*Questions & Concerns over Obama.
*McCain’s touted willingness and abilities not to get caught up in some of the traditional Republican politics. In other words, his maverick status. His demonstrated ability to work to understand and then solve our problems. He has not only talked about it, he’s done it. He’s made the hard, uncomfortable and at times unpopular decisions - rather than just being present.
This gives “the party elite” and establishment fits. (Something Sarah Palin, his running mate, is also known for.) Absolutely no one can question John McCain’s motives and have the slightest air of legitimacy. In other words, Honest and Integrity. He understands the meaning and has self-sacrificed for this country and its people. In other words, he is a genuine and giving person. Many of McCain’s early life experiences could have understandably turned him into a bitter, reclusive empty shell - he accepted and then embraced God’s plan for him. This is not to remotely suggest that McCain is some sort of saint. He acknowledges his imperfections and seeks to learn and grow from them.
The world today is a very scary place. The US is not without blame in today’s current environment. Having said that, I still can not understand why there are those out there who would end their life in a cataclysmic way in order to take my life and many of my friends and acquaintances in an indiscriminate way. Is it for the virgins that’ll be waiting for them in heaven? Is it for the money that their family will receive for the act? What family could accept this money drenched in their child’s blood and the blood of innocent men, women and children?
I fully understand that my Anglo-Saxon Western orientation could make this difficult for me to understand. Rather than killing me, and my unworthy friends, how about trying to explain it to me? If it is simply because I refuse to convert to your religion, explain that to me and then bring it on. If there is indeed going to be some sort of jihadic event of epic proportions (which these radicals seem to seek) bring it on - John McCain and I (and my friends) will do everything in our power to see to your lack of success. We Americans will rise to the occasion. Does anyone doubt that McCain is up to the task?
For these reasons and more, I stopped by the county HQ today and picked up my McCain sign and will cast my vote with pride, conviction and confidence for John McCain and Sarah Palin in November.
I humbly submit the above for thoughtful and careful consideration. (Not looking for a fight - just a debate.)

John McCain and Sarah Palin are the last thing this country needs.
Simply put, I don't want anyone who would put their nutty restrictive and very hateful religious beliefs before the Constitution and MY right to live the way I choose! I also, don't like people who kill animals.
